1.      Explain what is Conditional Sentence ?

Answer : Conditional Sentence is the sentence that an act or event that will only happen if the conditions are met or a sentence which the goal is to assume something that has occurred or will happen.

2.      Definition :

a.       Type 1 ( Present Tense )                : Describe a situation where situasion supposition that exist only in our imagination only, not real.

b.      Type 2 ( Past Tense )                     : Describing the supposition situation in the past and could not happen because it was passed.

c.       Type 3 ( Past Perfect Tense )        : Describe predictions about what will happen in the future.

3.      Give the example of conditional:

a.      Type 1 ( If + Present Tense, S + will + V1 + O )

1.      If I have enough apples, I will bake an apple pie this afternoon.

2.      I will make a tomato salad for the picnic tomorrow if the tomatoes in my garden are ripe.

3.      Sally always answers the phone if she is in her office.

4.      If I have enough money, I will go with you.

5.      If the weather is nice tomorrow, we will go to the zoo.

6.      If she comes late, her mom will get angry.

7.      If you are happy, I will be happy too.

8.      If the cat sleeps, it will take very long.

9.      Putri must be sick, if she works very hard.

10.  You must get up early, if you want to know the beautiful sunrise.

b.      Type 2 ( If + Past Tense, S + would + V1 + O )

1.      Jim isn’t home right now. If he were at home right now, I would visit him.

2.      It’s too bad Helen isn’t here. If she were here, she would know what to do.

3.      If I were a bird, I would fly to your home now

4.      They would be here, if they had much money.

5.      If Dina come to my house, I would make a delicious drink.

6.      If I were a singer, I would have a beautiful voice.

7.      Diana would be happy if she won the singing competition.

8.      Lola was sad if she would move to another school.

9.      If you were Adele , you would be so famous.

10.  Agung and Yoga would pass the examination if they studied hard.

c.       Type 3 ( If + Past Perfect Tense, S + would have + V3 + O )

1.      Linda wasn’t at home yesterday. If she had been at home yesterday, I would have visited her.

2.      Fred failed the test because he didn’t study. However, if the had studied for the test, he would have passed it.

3.      You should tell your father exactly what happened. If I had been you, I would have told him the truth as soon as possible.

4.      If I had been my camera with me yesterday, I would have taken a picture of Alex standing on his head.

5.      I got wet because I didn’t take my umbrella. However, I would have not taken wet if I had been remembered to take my umbrella with me yesterday.

6.      If she had got married with me last month, she would have been happy.

7.      If you had known the secret , you would have been shocked.

8.      My father would have been here, if he had gone by motorcycle.

9.      If you had remembered my birthday, I would have not been angry with you.
